Testosterone and Other Androgens

Testosterone and Other Androgens
Testosterone and Other Androgens, Surprisingly, I have found that more woman are in need of testosterone replacement therapy than men. Even before menopause, a woman’s production of testosterone drops almost to zero. Unfortunately, most women are only given estrogen to make up for this deficiency. But testosterone and estrogen work best when they are both present in the body in a youthful and

Natural ratio. To give a woman estrogen alone will put her body in an unnatural and fattening hormonal imbalance.

One of the easiest and most natural ways to restore youthful testosterone levels is to go to your nearby health food store and buy the supplement the hydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a naturally occurring human hormone that is a building block for your body to naturally produce testosterone. While DHEA is a week testosterone booster for men, it is effective for menopausal women.

Young women should not take DHEA or any other hormone supplement as it has adverse effect on reproduction. Small doses od DHEA (5 to 23 miligrams per day) are often enough to reliably increase women’s twenties. You will need to adjust your dose of DHEA to suit your needs: start out with a low dose and increase it slowly until you feel rejuvenated and energized from achieving hormone balance.

Women on testosterone replacement therapy often report feeling youthful and rejuvenated, with more energy and sex drive than they ever had before. They also have much more energy and motivation for working out, and the fat and inches usually come off much more quickly.

For some women, DHEA is not enough to bring about this hormone balance. If this is the case for you, talk to your doctor about taking prescription testosterone compounds in the form of gels or creams.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy
I have had tremendous success with my female patients with the use of testosterone replacement therapy. Whether a woman chooses DHEA or testosterone gels or creams, I always recommend medical supervision for any hormone replacement program.

Testosterone in low doses is safe and will do wonders for your diet and exercise program. But remember that hormone have powerful effect on your body, and it is always safest to have regular check-ups and to be in regular contact with a physician knowledgeable about hormone replacement therapy that involves the use of endrogens.
